Mahogany TheArtist is one of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex's premier vocalists, songwriters, and producers. Born Candace Miller in Richardson, Texas, her passion for music was cultivated from an early age through years of studying piano, playing drums, songwriting, and music production. Influenced by a lifetime surrounded by music, she has developed a signature style that blends jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and rock into unforgettable live performances.
Known for her dynamic stage presence, Mahogany has performed throughout the United States while building a loyal following across North Texas. She has sold out performances at renowned venues including Scat Jazz Lounge and Hotel Vin and serves as a resident performer at Eddie V's Prime Seafood in three Texas locations. She has also become a familiar face at iconic venues such as Sambuca, Sandaga Jazz, and Brooklyn Jazz Café.
Throughout her career, Mahogany has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Roy Hargrove, David Sanborn, Andy Timmons, Roger Boykin, Jason Davis, Victor Orlando, Red Young, Joe Firstman, and Bill Tillman. As a recording artist, she has released JamBox, Her Song Vol. 1, Merry Christmas from Mahogany, Waiting EP, and the singles SOAR and FADED. She is currently recording new music with multi-Grammy Award-winning producer Shaun Martin.
In 2014, Mahogany founded the Jazz Becuzz Arts Center and now serves as Executive Director of Jazz Becuzz Arts Group and Good Lyfe programs. Through these organizations, she uses music and the arts to inspire children, seniors, and families throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth community, reflecting her commitment to both artistic excellence and lasting community impact.
